So why would we want our own DataBANK computer instead of using some public cloud solution on Internet for free?  Put simply, there are two main reasons: first of all, you can only get a very small storage for free, and after that you will have to pay; DataBANK computer gives you an option to start, if you choose so, with 50TB of soft provisioned storage space for your convenience (that’s TB as in TERRABYTE!!! or 50,000 GB!!!). 1. Processor first. Intel is the king of CPUs, that’s why we ONLY use Intel processors. Inside we’ll find excellent Intel 3.2 GHz multi-core CPU, with possibility to overclock it (make it faster) later.

2. Next is RAM memory. DataBANK comes with 16,384 MB of of new DDR memory in QUAD Mode, which effectively is 16 times faster than old DDR memory (with possibility to overclock it (make it faster) later, if desired). The operating system is allocated 3.5 GB of RAM, while the rest is used for DDP, Video and Paging File, since the priority is Data Storage here.

3. DataBANK comes with a solid and dependable Radeon video card for the day to day operations.  However, it can be also purchased with a dedicated Video Rendering card – Professional grade nVidia Quadro graphic card, which will provide you with abundance of options and processing power. Why would you need such a card on the storage computer? Good question. 4. The core of DataBANK computer is a professional grade Intel Premium motherboard with Japanese solid capacitors and enhanced Network Interface

accelerator unit. Access to network is essential for DataBANK, that’s why it has not one, but TWO network interface cards for redundancy, both made by Intel.

6. Now let’s talk about the Operating System. DataBANK computer comes with Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 1.  As an additional option, it can come with a dual OS setup. The main Operating System in that case would be a Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise Edition; and as a back up and for compatibility with older software it also would have a fully functioning  and patched Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 1, or Vista Pro, or even Windows XP 32-bit, if desired.  Once again, we offer redundancy.

7. DataBANK computer comes with limited Lifetime Maintenance and Repair Service Plan for as long as you own your DataBANK system.

8. Now is the MOST important part – Data Storage Solution. The main job of DataBANK computer is to protect your information. To do so flawlessly it has total of 8 Hard Drives. You read it correctly – EIGHT Hard Drives!!! Moreover, DataBANK has three different SATA/RAID hard drive controllers. Why so many? For the same simple reason – redundancy. If you have only one hard drive and it fails you just lost ALL of your precious, one of a kind, personal information. It is gone! ALL of it! DataBANK offers DDL storage solution similar to new technologies, such as RAID-7. Which means you can sustain up to TWO simultaneous hard drive failures and STILL have ALL of your data intact. You can have a SATA/RAID hard drive controller fail and STILL have ALL of your data intact. This is just marvelous! Here are some more good news. DataBANK computer comes with four Professional Hot-Swappable Server-grade SATA Hard Drive Bays. What is it and why do we need it? Hard Drive Bay is special unit that host a single hard drive has it own dedicated internal fan and temperature sensor that allows to have an individual climate control for that hard drive.  Furthermore, Hard Drive Bay has a special circuit board that performs continuous cyclic redundancy check. Cyclic redundancy check allows the system to check hard drive for the variety of problems, and let us know ahead of the time, before it causes any issues. On top of that, the Hard Drive Bays allow us replace the hard drives on the fly, while the computer working and data is being processed, no need for a shut down. That’s pretty cool!
