  • Home Theater PC (HTPC) or Media Center Computer is a convergence device that combines all of the capabilities of a personal computer, TV tuner, game console, dedicated media device and Blu-Ray player with software applications that supports video, photo, audio playback, plus audio/video recording functionality. Simply put, it is a “Jack Of All Trades”.  HTPC is usually connected to the living room TV or media room projector; and it does everything you need. However, to provide an extra layer of protection for your data it does require Data Center PC.
  • Data Center PC is a server located in a private residence providing services to other devices inside or outside the household through a home wired/wireless network and the Internet. Such services will include file and printer serving, media center serving, web serving (on the network and Internet), web caching, account authentication and backup services. Data Center PC possess significant computing power and usually connected  to an uninterruptible power supply, to provide protection in case of power outages that can possibly corrupt data.
